1. On a slippery surface, like marble, such that the wheels can easily slide even if I don't properly distribute my weight preventing them from rolling. This way I can concentrate more on the balancing and momentum of my body, while not falling too often because of wheels getting stuck.
2. On asphalt, where much more grip makes it critical how I distribute my weight across the naturally rockered wheels to make them roll on the surface instead of scratching it.
