As part of episode 75 of This Week in Blade (TWIB), Blader Union is proud to announce an all new line of products based on Kevon “Biiz” Thompson’s weekly show. Biiz has been a staple of the blading community since his program began. Each week he brings his personal spin on everything blading for a global blading audience. As Blader Union, we’ve wanted to do a line of softgoods since we first opened shop back in 2017. We’ve decided as our introduction into this market, we'd like to honor and celebrate Kevon’s hard work as a part of Blader Union and his dedication to the sport by creating this line focused on TWIB.
‘Let’s Get Social’ 60mm/92a Wheels
We start off the collection with a collaboration between Blader Union and Red Eye Wheels. This wheel is poured with Red Eye’s 3rd generation urethane. The wheel was designed by Kevon Thompson and Stefan Brandow, and Kevon had full creative control over the size, durometer, profile, color, and graphic. This is a wheel build for the streets, with all the features you’d need to push your skating to the next level. The urethane is hard and strong, yet grippy with a high rebound. It’s feel is unlike any 92a wheel you’ve ever rode before. Emblazoned with the tagline “Let’s Get Social”, this is not only a nod to TWIB’s weekly program, but a reminder for everyone with skates on their feet to be friendly, positive, and accepting of everyone.
$10 from every set sold goes directly back to Kevon. We’ve only created 100 sets of these, so make sure to act fast before you miss out. And if you did miss out, make sure to grab a set of the Jon Fromm Red Eye v3 wheels, featuring the same v3 urethane composition and profile.
‘This Week In Blade’ Pocket Tee
Designed by Stefan Brandow and Kevon Thompson, we’ve created a classic black shirt with white print and an added twist around the front. Featuring a heather grey front pocket and black TWIB logo, to add a little extra flair from both sides. The shirt is Bella + Canvas 100% ring spun cotton, in a unisex fit, with sizes from Small to 2XL. It’s soft, breathable, machine washable, and ready for the streets. We’ve got the sizing listed on the product description, so click the link to grab yourself one. The grey pocket is a limited design with limited quantities in each size.
‘Do It For The TWIB’ Black Enamel Pin
This limited edition pin was designed by Stefan Brandow as a way to celebrate the hard work Kevon puts in every single week. In the past, he’s featured countless talented people putting together a 30-60 second piece called “Do It For The TWIB”. He gives you a few tricks to try along the way, and as a surprise with this launch, we created this pin. Share your support for TWIB by picking one up, filming some clips, and “lets get social!”.
‘Do It For The TWIB’ Gold Enamel Pin
The last surprise we have for Kevon was the creation of this gold ‘Do It For The TWIB’ pin. Now this item is different than the rest of the collection. You cannot buy this. This pin has to be earned. With full control in The lucky few who get their hands on one of these from Kevon will probably have a story to tell. Maybe you submitted a trick that was trick of the week. Maybe you created a local contest for people. Maybe you hosted a donate and skate, or maybe you just made him laugh. Do you have what it takes to strike gold?
Thank you all for all the support, love, and engagement you’ve shown us over these last few years. We’ve been so excited to share this with the world and continue to celebrate Biiz, TWIB, and all the work he does to be an amazing ambassador to our sport. Make sure to tune in each week as he shares the news. And we hope to see you out there rocking his gear in the future. - The Blader Union Team
